Well, it’s been a full year for Twolipps Graphics and Web Design and I can’t get over how my business has evolved into a full time job and the major part of my week! I’m even making Bob help with the dinner dishes these days because no longer can he say “since your home all the time anyway….”.
Most exciting for me is how I’ve come to depend on Joomla for most all my web sites…even to the point of a tough challenge to go back to plain ol’ html recently!
Now is the time to say Thank You! to all my wonderful customers for making the year the best yet for me and my small enterprise. It’s amazing that you trusted me with your business plans and ideas and let me build you a website. I am grateful.
And another big Thank You to the Joomla! folks…the folks in the forums, the designers, coders, and bug fixers. Your skills are amazing and I am forever in your debt.
Now for everyone reading this: Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!

“I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve (or save) the world and a desire to enjoy (or savor) the world. This makes it hard to plan the day.” E.B. White
Planning is not my favorite activity. It’s hard to concentrate for very long on what must be done with all the distractions there are out there. I’d much rather surf the web, shop online or play sudoko games. And then there’s TV…a whole other subject!
But planning really ends up being the activity that sets everything else in motion. Like spinning your wheels vs. actually going somewhere.
I got hacked yesterday. The site was entered, some malicious stuff was inserted, my admin password was all messed up and I ended up spending a few hours putting things back together. And after it was all over, I went to the Joomla forums and ran across this statement: It’s not planning on foiling a hacker, it’s planning on what to do when you’ve been hacked…as if it’s inevitable that a server will be hacked. Wow. Depressing.
